THE PROCESS

At Mizu Diamonds, we feel it is important that you know beforehand the four steps involved in our custom designing process. We want to make your experience with us as easy and relaxed as possible.

1. The Diamond Consultation
   After our initial phone conversation to set our meeting, this will be our second and more in-depth opportunity to find out about the diamond you seek. We will help you to narrow down your search by asking you questions about your budget, taste and lifestyle. With these parameters set, we will then consult with you to select your diamond’s shape and the appropriate mix of the 4C’s. At this time, we will also discuss the setting and style of your desired piece of jewellery. We encourage you to share with us all your ideas including any drawings or pictures that you may have to help us to develop the preliminary design.
   
   
2. Finalizing the Design
   Once we’ve chosen your diamond and created the design that best matches your vision, we will have a quote ready for your approval within 24 hours. Once approved, we will ask you for a 10% deposit down before we begin the work.
   
   
3. The Close Inspection
   Once your diamond arrives, we will ask you to come in and inspect it personally. We invite you to examine your diamond for any pinpoints or inclusions, those special characteristics that makes your diamond uniquely yours. At this time, we also ask that you take a look at the official certification that accompanies your diamond.
   
   
4. The Final Product
   Mizu Diamonds Owner, Fondy Tam will then work with our Vancouver, BC based goldsmith to begin custom designing your piece. Your jewellery is made entirely by hand to perfectly fit your unique diamond. The whole design process will take from 4 to 6 weeks to complete. We will contact you as soon as your diamond jewellery piece is ready and upon your inspection and approval, we will ask for your final payment.
